Welcoming the Montford Point Marine Association California

The California State Commanders Veterans Council is proud to welcome the Montford Point Marine Association California as our newest member.

Founded in 1965, the Montford Point Marine Association is dedicated to honoring and preserving the legacy of the first African American Marines who trained at Montford Point, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, between 1942 and 1949. Despite segregation, these Marines served with courage and professionalism during World War II, paving the way for future generations.

The Montford Point Marine Association California carries this mission forward by supporting veterans, mentoring youth, and providing scholarships to MCJROTC students. They are also deeply committed to assisting veteran families in need, strengthening community ties, and ensuring that the sacrifices of Montford Point Marines are never forgotten.

By joining the Council, they will continue its important work while contributing to the broader mission of veteran support and advocacy across California. We are honored to have them among our ranks.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to the Montford Point Marine Association California.
